当所が開発した運転員教育システムは予め決められた条件で発生した事象の教材が用意されている。本報告では教材にない事象や過渡変化の途中で条件を変える場合も解説が行えるよう,定性推論を用いた解説分の生成方式を検討した。(1)BWRプラントを記述する簡易過渡解析コードの微分方程式を定性推論が行える形(定性方程式)に変換した。(2)運転員教育システムの知識処理専用計算機の中に,瞬間・区間解析部知識ベース,解説文生成部,グラフ表示部から成る解説文生成システムを構築した。(3)原子炉のような複雑なシステムに対しても,簡易過渡解析コードのシミュレーション結果を用いれば定性推論を用いた解説文の生成が可能である。

CRIEPI HAS DEVELOPED AN ADVANCED EDUCATIONALSYSTEM FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANT OPERATORS. THE SYSTEM CONTAINS EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS ON ABNORMAL EVENTS AND EXPLAINS THE PHYSICAL BACKGROUND OF TRANSIENTS EFFECTIVELY TO EACH OPERATOR USING AI TECHNIQUES. HOWEVER,IT CANNOT OFFER FLEXIBLE LEARNING BECAUSE THE OPERATORS PERFORM OPERATIONS THAT ARE NOT IN THE MATERIALS AND THE SYSTEM EXPLAINS THE REASON FOR THE TRANSIENTS. THIS REPORT OUTLINES A METHOD FOR GENERATING EXPLANATORY SENTENCES USING QUALITATIVE REASONING FOR FLEXIBLE LEARNING. 1.REACTOR MODEL AND QUALITATIVE EQUATION A SIMPLE SIMULATION CODE CALLED PCTRAN WAS SELECTED AS THE REACTOR MODEL(BWR IN THIS CASE). RECIRCULATION PUMP TRIP WAS SELECTED AS A TRANSIENT AND SIXTEEN VARIABLES WERE SELECTED TO EXPLAIN THE TRANSIENT. THE DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS THAT DESCRIBE THE CODE DYNAMICS WERE TRANSFORMED INTO QUALITATIVE EQUATIONS FOR EXECUTING QUALITATIVE REASONING. 2.GENERATION OF EXPLANATORY SENTENCES BY QUALITATIVE REASONING A SYSTEM FOR GENERATING EXPLANATORY SENTENCES WAS CONSTRUCTED IN THE KNOWLEDGE ENGINE OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM CONSISTS OF FOUR PARTS AS FOLLOWS: (1)MOMENT,TIME SECTION ANALYSIS PART THIS PART SEARCHES FOR THE POINTS WHERE THE FIRST-DEGREE TIME DIFFERENTIAL COEFFICIENTS OF THE SIXTEEN VARIABLES ARE ZERO. IT DEFINES THE POINTS AS MOMENTS AND THE SECTIONS BETWEEN POINTS AS TIME SECTIONS. IT ALSO CALCULATES THE QUALITATIVE VALUES AND QUALITATIVE DIFFERENTIAL VALUES AT THE MOMENTS AND TIME SECTIONS. (2)KNOWLEDGE BASE THIS PART CONTAINS KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE MOMENTS AND TIME SECTIONS (QUALITATIVE VALUES AND QUALITATIVE DIFFERENTIAL VALUES). IT ALSO CONTAINS KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE QUALITATIVE EQUATIONS IN THE FROM OF PRODUCTION RULES. EXPLANATORY SENTENCES THAT CORRESPOND TO THE MOMENTS AND TIME SECTIONS ARE ATTACHED TO THE RULES. (3)GENERATION OF EXPLANATORY SENTENCES PART THIS PART SEARCHES FOR THE MOMENTS AND TIME SECTIONS THAT SATISFY THE RULES AND GENERATES WHOLE EXPLANATORY SENTENCES
