内湾の富栄養化現象と環境容量を検討する試みとして，全国の内湾における湾の地形や滞留時間，負荷量等の特性を比較した．次に平均水深と更新率の積と全窒素・全リンの表面積負荷量の相関図によって，各湾の富栄養化の特性の相違が明瞭になった．また同方法によって許容負荷量の推定が可能であることを示した．さらにCODについては，内部生産に関して全窒素・全リンからの変換係数を与えることにより，CODに関する許容負荷量を推定することが可能である．

概要 （英文）

As attempts on the estimation of eutrophication and the permissible load to enclosed coastal sea, we showed the difference in the characteristics of the eutrophication of each bay and the estimation of the permissible load of TN and TP by using the geographical features, residence time and the correlation figure of the loads of TN and TP per unit area and the product of the average water depth and the renewal rate. These results show the eutrophication of the characteristics of the bays and the estimation of the permissible load of TN and TP. Moreover, by using the exchange coefficients from TN and TP to the internal production of COD, we also showed the estimation of the permissible load of COD. These results of the study can contribute to the proposition of the water quality improvement plan according to the characteristics of the bay.
