ヒラメ用飼料における魚粉代替タンパク質源に関して検討を行い以下の結果を得た。(1)北洋魚粉、イカミール、精製大豆粕、フェザーミール、ビール酵母および卵白粉末を単独のタンパク質源とする飼料の栄養価は、北洋魚粉、イカミールおよび精製大豆粕で高く、フェザーミールではわずかに低かった。一方、ビール酵母、卵白粉末では著しく劣った。(2)魚粉の一部をフェザーミールで置換し、フェザーミールの適正配合料は12~25%の範囲にあり、魚粉タンパク質の20~40%がフェザーミールで置換できることがわかった。(3)魚粉の一部を脱脂大豆で置換し、脱脂大豆を0、20、35および44%含む飼料で、体重約3gのヒラメを飼育した。その結果、44%まで配合した場合でも、対象区との間に成長差はなく、魚粉タンパク質の約50%が脱脂大豆で置換できることが明らかとなった。

The availability of substitutional protein sources for fish meal in the diet of Japanese flounder was examined. 1.The protein utilization were the highest in the diets containing white fish meal, cuttlefish meal, and soybean meal as single sources of protein, and was slightly lower in the diet with feather meal. However, the diets containing brewers yeast and egg white albumin showed extremely low utilization.2.In the feeding experiment with diets containing 0,12,25,37,and 50% of feather meal as a substitute for fish meal, the weight gain of fish fed on the diets containing 12 and 25% of feather meal did not differ from that of fish fed on the control diet containing 80% of white fish meal, however, it decreased in fish fed on the 37 and 50% feather meal diets. The feed conversion efficiency and protein efficiency ratio of fish fed on the 12% feather meal diet were almost the same as in the control, however, these values decreased with dietary feather meal increasing.3.In the feeding experiment with diets containing 0,20,35, and 44% of defatted soybean meal as a substitute for fish meal, the weight gain of fish were not different from each other. The feed conversion efficiency and protein efficiency ratio were the highest in fish fed on the 20% soybean meal diet, and decreased slightly with dietary soybean meal increasing. However, these values were similar to those in the control diet. From these results, it is considered that 20 to 40% and about 50% of the fish meal protein in the diet of the flounder can be replaced with feather meal and defatted soybean meal, respectively, without adverse effects on the growth.
