わが国における主要造林木であるマツ,スギの電界暴露実験を行い,直流電界の樹木生長に対する影響について調査・検討を行った。その結果,本実験で検討した,おおよそ350V/cm以下の電界強度では,マツおよびスギの生育に対して直接的な影響はないものと考えられた。
概要 (英文)
IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION STRATEGY FOR FUTURE CONSTRUCTION OF UHV DC TRANSMISSION LINES,ITIS NECESSARY TO ELUCIDATE EFFECTS OF DC FIELDS ON THEES GROWN UNDER LINES. IN THIS STUDY,YOUNG SEEDLINGS OF JAPANESE RED PINE AND JAPANESE CEDAR TREES WERE EXPOSED TO DC ELECTRIC FIELD USING UNIPOLAR 200 KV FIELDEXPOSURE FACILITY IN OUR INSTITUTE,AND WERE EXPOSED TO ELECTRIC FIELD STRENGTH HIGHER THAN THAT EXPECTED UNDER THE UHV LINES. GROWTH,VISIBLE INJURIES AT TREE TIPS,AND ADHESION OF AIR-BORNE PARTICLES TO NEEDLE SURFACE WHICH IS CHARACTERISTIC PHENOMENA IN DC FIELDS,WERE INVESTIGATED. RESULTS WERE SUMMARIZED AS FOLLOWS; 1.SEEDLINGS OF JAPANESE PINE AND JAPANESE CEDAR TREES WERE EXPOSED TO THE ELECTRIC FIELD OF 100-350 V/CM DURING 7-15 MONTHS. ELONGATION OF MAIN BRANCHES AND INCREMENT OF STEM DIAMETER WERE NOT AFFECTED BY THE EXPOSURE. 2.SLIGHT INJURIES WERE OBSERVED AT THE NEEDLE TIPS OF JAPANESE PINE TREE EXPOSED TO 400-600 V/CM ELECTRIC FIELDS FOR 2 MONTHS,HOWEVER,GROWTH WAS NOT AFFECTED. 3.ADHESION OF AIR-BORNE FINE PARTICLES TO THE JAPANESE PINE NEEDLES EXPOSED TO 120-640 V/CM ELECTRIC FIELDS WAS OBSERVED. AREMARKABLE ADHESION OF THE PARTICLES TO THE UPPER HALF OF PINE NEEDLES WAS OBSERVED JUST UNDER THE TEST LINE,HOWEVER,THE BLACKENING DECRESED WITH THE INCREASE OF DISTANCE FROM THE LINE. THE ABOVE RESULTS INDICATE THAT THE JAPANESE PINE AND JAPANESE CEDAR TREES MAY NOT DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY THE ELECTRIC FIELD BELOW 350V/CM.
