当所では，配電用変電所や営業所と需要家を結ぶ通信ネットワークの研究・開発に取り組んでいる。このようなネットワークは，監視・制御や検針などの次世代の情報伝送基盤であり，低コストと高信頼性を維持すると共に，需要家を含めたセキュリティを確保する必要がある。需要地系セキュア通信ネットワークを対象として，セキュリティ対策の検討が可能となるシステム構成の詳細度を明確にした。さらに，想定されるシステム構成をもとに，必要なセキュリティ対策を選定し，その配置を明らかにした。

概要 （英文）

Modernization of the electric grid is being considered in smart grids. CRIEPI has proposed the concept "Secure Communication Network in Demand-Area", used for smart metering and demand response systems. This requires reliable communication for a large number of widely distributed equipment at low cost. To secure such a communication network, it is necessary to consider cyber security functions that were not always necessary in a closed propriety network.
In this report, we summarize the approach for ensuring security in the Secure Communication Network in Demand-Area. We consider the system architecture patterns, communication services, security requirements for each communication entity in the system, and the appropriate security measures.
