波浪の再現・予測計算を自動的に行うリアルタイム波浪予測システムを構築した．このシステムでは，波浪予測計算のプレ処理から，計算の実行，および，ポスト処理までの一連の流れを毎日自動的に実施する．予測計算で得られた有義波高，平均周期，ピーク周波数，主波向きは可視化され，ユーザーが指定するwebサイト上へ自動的に出力される．構築したシステムにより予測された有義波高及び有義波周期の予測値の精度を検討した．検討期間は2005年の1年間とした．その結果，外洋波浪の予測計算では，有義波高の立ち上がりのタイミングやピーク値を予測計算が概ね良好に再現できていることがわかった．一方，沿岸波浪の予測計算では，有義波高の立ち上がりのタイミングを良好に再現できているものの，有義波高の値を過小評価していることがわかった．また，有義波周期の予測値と観測値の間のばらつきが全般的に大きくなることがわかった．そして，これらの予測精度は海域や季節に依存することがわかった．

概要 （英文）

A real time wave-forecasting system is developed, in which pre-processes, numerical simulations of wave hind- and fore-casting, and post-processes are automatically carried out. Figures of the significant wave height, mean wave period, peak frequency, and wave direction, which are obtained by the system, are outputted on the web-site appointed by a user. Accuracy verification of the wave forecasting systems is investigated. The results show that the rising times and peak values of significant wave height are generally estimated well by the forecasting system for the open ocean. On the other hand, the rising times are estimated well, but the values of significant wave height are underestimated for the coastal areas. The estimated values of significant wave period are largely scattered for both the open ocean and the coastal area. The forecasting accuracies of significant wave height and wave period depend on the sea areas and the seasons.
