現行の放射線防護基準が、厳しい側および緩和される側に変更された場合のそれぞれについて、原子力発電所の設備仕様および建設コストへの影響を、公開資料に基づいて試算・分析した。基準値の変更による建設コストへの影響は、基準値が2.0倍に厳しくなる場合で総建設費の約0.2％、基準値が10倍に緩和される場合で約0.3％と評価された。基準値が厳しくなる側では気体廃棄物処理設備に対する影響が大きく、逆に緩和される側では液体廃棄物処理設備への影響が大きい。発電コストへの影響は、資本費の増加分が約0.1％であり、運転維持費の増加分を加えても1％未満であると評価された。

概要 （英文）

The effect on the construction costs of nuclear power plants by the revision has been evaluated because the present radiation protection standards are expected to be revised in the future.Based on the published information, effects on the design specifications and the construction costs of a new nuclear power plant has been evaluated in the cases that the present radiation protection standards will be more rigorous or moderate in the future. If the standards are made more rigorous to one-fifth compared with the present limitation, the construction costs could be increased by about 0.2 % and the most sensitive facility to the resulted cost is a gaseous waste treatment facility. On the other hand, if the standards are made more moderate to ten times compared with the present limitation, the construction costs could be decreased about 0.3 % and the liquid waste treatment is most sensitive to the resulted costs. The influence on power generation cost is about 0.1 % as the increase of capital cost, and less than 1% even if the operation and maintenance cost is added.
