1993～95年にかけて発表された、極低周波磁界と腫瘍との相関に関する13件の疫学調査論文を分析・評価した。 その結果、(1) 因果関係に関する５段階の判断基準(強固性、特異性、時系列性、一致性、整合性)を満足するものはなかった。(2) 新規の疫学調査が、従来の方法に基づいて計画されても、不安定な要素の存在のために、信頼性の高い結果は期待できない。などが判明した。 今後、科学的に極低周波磁界の生物影響を解明するためには、前向きのコホート調査の実施と、細胞・動物実験研究により、影響のメカニズムが明らかにされる必要がある。

概要 （英文）

13 epidemiological papers on the relationship between EMF and cancers, which were published since 1993, were analyzed and evaluated. the results are as follows, (1) There are no evidence to satisfy on 5 judgement criteria (strong, specified, time sequential, corresponding and matching relations) of the causal relationship. (2) Even if the new epidemiological studies are planned based on convenntional methods, no reliable results can be expected, because the existence of unstable factors. In order to clarify the biological effects caused by EMF scientifically, the prospective cohort study should be adopted and in-vitro and in-vivo studies with tissues which investigate the mechanism of the effect should be carried out in future.
