特別高圧架空電線は、建造物と第2次接近状態に施設してはならないが、建造物上部造営材が「不燃性または自消性のある難燃性の建築材料」であれば、施設できる。この規定は、硬質塩化ビニルの試験結果に基づいているため、新しい建築材料に対しては適用できない。そこで、一般的に使用されているが、自消性のある難燃性材料として確認されていないポリカーボネートとポリエステルについて、国内主要エクステリア商品(計13種類)を選定し、送電線での地絡様相を想定した条件でアークよる燃焼試験を実施した。ポリカーボネートの場合、試験電流2kA、通電時間0.5秒（主保護）の条件で、全ての供試体で着火はなかった。また、ポリエステルの場合、試験電流2kA、通電時間0.5秒（主保護）の条件で、全ての供試体で、通電時のアークにより溶けて穴が開き、発火し、燃焼が継続したが、供試体全体が燃え尽きることなく自然に消えた。

概要 （英文）

Under high voltage overhead transmission line, any construction cannot be constructed depending on occasions. Roofing material, however, if using fireproof or self-extinguishing flame resistant materials, is allowed to employ. This regulation is based on test results for rigid vinyl chloride used in the past.Therefore, the regulation cannot be applied for new construction materials.This requires collecting test data for polycarbonate and polyester offered commercially and applied, but not confirmed as self-extinguishing flame resistant materials.At first, domestic main exterior products were selected. Next, an arc burning test was applied under an expected ground condition at the transmission line. Results show that for polycarbonate, there was no ignition for all samples at the condition of test current of 2kA and current duration time of 0.5 second (main protection). For polyester, all samples were molten by arc when applying current to bore and ignite continuing combustion at the condition of test current of 2kA and current duration time of 0.5 second (main protection), but naturally extinguished without burnout.
