AS A STEP OF DEVELOPING THE PREDICTION METHOD FOR 100 HZ HUM NOISE FROM AC TRANSMISSION LINES,STANDING WAVE UNDER TRANSMISSION LINES WAS ANALYZED WITH STATISTICAL METHOD. MAIN RESULTS ARE: (1)IF WE CONSIDER 100 HZ HUM LEVELS UNDER TRANSMISSION LINES AS ONE OF THE STATISTICAL SET. THEN WE CAN CALCULATE THE PROBABILITY DENSITY FUNCTION WITH RESPECT TO HUM LEVELS BY MEANS OF 2-DIMENSIONAL RANDOM WALK THEORY. THE PROBABILITY DENSITY FUNCTION CALCULATED,WAS VERIFIED BY ALALYZING HUM DATA MEASURED AKAGI TEST LINE. (2)THE TYPICAL LEVEL UNDER TRANSMISSION LINE NEEDS TWO CHARACTERISTICS. FIRST IS THAT IT IS USED ALL OVER THE WORLD,SECOND IS THAT IT EXPRESSES STATISTICAL CHARACTERISTIC. ON THE OTHER SIDE IT IS NOT PRACICAL THAT YOU PREPARE A LOT OF MEASURING POINTS ON LONG TERM TEST WITH TEST LINE OR COMMERCIAL LINE. SO AUTHER PROPOSES POWER AVERAGE LEVEL PAVE AS THE TYPICAL LEVEL UNDER TRANSMISSION LINES. IF WE GET 5 DATA MEASURED,THE PROBABILITY OF PAVE FALLINGIN THE RANGE (RPAVE-2,RPAVE+2) IS 80%,WHERE RPAVE IS A TURE POWER AVERAGE VALUE.
