A COMBINED-CYCLE POWER GENERATION SYSTEM HASENTERED INTO A STAGE OF PRACTICAL USE BASED ON CLEAN FUELS.THERE IS A TREND THAT THE EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT OF A GAS TUNBINE IS PURSUED WITH AN INCREASE IN SERVICE TEMPERATURE IN THE FUTURE.FROM A LONG-RANGE STANDPOINT,SUCH A COMBINED-CYCLE SYSTEM WILL ALSO CONTRIBUTE TO THE PRACTICAL USE OF COAL-GASIFICATION POWER GENERATION. HENCE THE IMPORTANCE IS INCREASING OF THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF SUPERALLOYS FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE EQUIPMENTS AND COMPONENTS,INCLUDING A BLADE,A VANE AND A COMBUSTOR,REQUIRED FOR RISING THE SERVICE TEMPERATURE OF A GAS TURBINE,IN ADDITION TO THEM,A STUDY ON A DISK ALLOY IS INDISPENSABLE BECAUSE HIGH RELIABILITY IS REQUIRED FOR A DISK WHICH IS A HIGH-SPEED ROTATING BODY AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURES. CRIEPI HAS CO-OPERATED IN A TRIAL PRODUCTION OF ANI-BASE SUPERALLOY IN 718 DISK OF WHICH THE WORKING TEMPERATURE REACHES TO 600 DEGREE,AND MAINLY REPORTED THE ESTIMATION TEST RESULTS ELEVATED-TEMPERATURE FATIGUE STRENGTH.FURTHERMORE,THIS REPORT PRESENTS THE RESULTS OF ELEVATED-TEMPERATURE FATIGUE LIFE ESTIMATION AND CRACK PROPAGATION BEHAVIOR WHICH ARE IMPORTANT FOR DESIGN,OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE.
