本研究は,換気扇を用いて堆積農産物の間隙を通気することによって,貯蔵室内の環境調節を適正に均一に保ち,優れた貯蔵効果を得ることを目的とした。ヤマトイモ及びコンニャクイモの貯蔵にこの圧力通風貯蔵を行い次の結果を得た。1.ヤマトイモを温度2~3℃,相対湿度は超音波加湿で100%に保ち,6ケ月間通風貯蔵した結果,イモの減量は無く,高品質に貯蔵できた。イモの間隙の風速は1~2m/秒で,炭酸ガスの濃度は0.045%前後であった。2.コンニャクイモの貯蔵は,通風乾燥(3~8℃,60~70%RH)キュアリング(33℃,90~100%RH)及び貯蔵(7℃,100%RH)の3段階の処理を行う間,この圧力通風を行った結果,適正環境で均一に処理でき,貯蔵中の腐敗,減量が少ない成績が得られた。なお,風速は1.5~1.6m/秒で,炭酸ガスは0.4%以下であった。炭酸ガスが3%以上ではキュアリングに悪影響が認められ

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
