湛水池周辺地山の補強対策として,地山の中央部にイコス遮水壁と下流側にドレーントンネルを設置した場合の地下水位およびドレーントンネルへの漏水量について,実測値と2次元飽和・不飽和浸透流解析による計算値との比較を行い,さらに,湛水池山内浸透流に対する遮水および排水に関する検討を行った。その結果,湛水池周辺地山下流側におけるドレーントンネルは,地下水位低下には非常に効果があるが地山中央部におけるイコス壁およびカーテングラウトは,地下水位低下には効果が少ないことが,数値解析によって示された。

THE VALUES CALCULATED BY TWO DIMENSIONAL SATURATED-UNSATURATED SEEPAGE FLOW ANALYSIS HAVE BEEN COMPARED WITH THE VALUES OBSERVED ON THE SEEPAGE FLOW THROUGH THE SURROUNDING GROUND OF THERESERVOIR,IN WHICH THE IMPERVIOUS WALL IS LAYED OUT AT THE CENTER AND THE DRAINAGE TUNNEL IS LAYED OUT AT THE DOWNSTREAM SIDE. THE STUDIES ONTHE IMPERVIOUS WALLS AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS FOR THE SEEPAGE FLOW THROUGHTHE SURROUNDING GROUND OF THE RESERVOIR HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT BY NUMERICAL ANALYSIS. AND THE FOLLOWING RESULTS HAVE BEEN OBTAINED. 1) THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE OBSERVED WATER LEVELS AND THE CALCULATED WATER LEVELS WERE LESS THAN 5% OF THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE WATER LEVELS AT THE UPSTREAM SIDE AND AT THE DOWNSTREAM SIDE AT THE STEADY STATE OF THE SEEPAGE FLOW FROM THE RESERVOIR. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OBSERVED ANDTHE CALCULATED OF THE LEAKAGE WATER INTO THE DRAINAGE TUNNEL WAS ABOUT5% OF THE OBSERVED. 2) THE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE OBSERVED AND THE CALCULATED DURING A COPIOUS RAINFALL HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT. THE CALCULATED VALUES OF THE LEAKAGE WATER INTO THE DRAINAGE TUNNEL AND THE WATER LEVEL IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF THE DRAINAGE TUNNEL ARE MORE SENSITIVE TO THE RAINFALL THAN THE OBSERVED VALUES. BUT IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE CALCULATED WILL BE AGREED WITH THE OBSERVED, IF THE INFLOW COEFFICIENT INTO THEGROUND OF THE RAINFALL AND THE CHARACTER OF THE GROUND MATERIALS ARE INVESTIGATED WITH ACCURACY. 3) IT HAS BEEN OBTAINED BY THE NUMERICAL ANALYSIS THAT THE DRAINAGE TUNNELS AT DOWNSTREAM SITE OF THE SURROUNDING GROUND OF THE RESERVOIR ARE MUCH EFFECTIVE TO THE WATER LEVEL FALL AND THE CONTINUOUS IMPERVIOUS WALLS OR THE CURTAIN GROUT ARE NOT EFFECTIVE TO THE WATER LEVEL FALL.
